Dear SCC,
It's hard for me to put into words how thankful I am for you. Many of you sent words of wisdom, scripture, and encouragement and your prayers have brought such peace in the season of "shifting."I have been accepted to the role of Ministry Point Person for Youth and Young Adults. This has been a very humbling journey that will continue to humble me. The role seems too big, but I serve a mighty God who is all about using the weak so that His power is made perfect and all glory goes to Him. There have been so many big and small ways that God has confirmed for me that I should continue to move forward and lean into Him. Without being aware of potential changes in my life, I have had a number of encounters with my Sisaala friends and family where they have said something about me, prayed over me taking on more responsibilities, and even moving out from Tumu. When Miriam heard about this role, her first response was such joy - it took me by surprise. I was assuming she would be sad because it brings a change for my life in Tumu and yet she was rejoicing. What an unexpected blessing! I will be starting this role April 1st and it will be a huge learning curve. I know that the Lord is giving me a special opportunity to lean into Him and the people He has placed in my life to fulfil this role and I am excited for what He has in store.
There are different ways to say thank you in Sisaali and I want to say them all to you:
Anjoaso, barka, unlalong
Charity
